Managing your team
Everyone who signs in with Intercom against the same Intercom workspace joins the same OmniSaaSy workspace. The first person to connect becomes its Owner. Other people join either by being invited, or by signing in with Intercom once an Owner has invited their address.
Roles
| Role | Can | Cannot |
|---|---|---|
| Owner | Everything a Manager can, plus invite people, change roles, remove people, manage the subscription and licences, manage custom attributes and enter the X developer app. | |
| Manager | Connect and remove channels, change relay settings, view tickets and analytics, open Settings. | Invite or remove people, change roles, see the Subscription or General tabs. |
| Member | View the Channels page. | Change anything, or open tickets, analytics or Settings. |
Only Owners can reconnect the workspace if OmniSaaSy is uninstalled from Intercom. See Connecting Intercom.
Inviting someone
- Open Settings from the user menu, top right, then the Team tab.
- Choose Invite User.
- Enter their email address and pick Manager or Member. Owner is not offered here; promote them after they have joined.
They appear in the list with a pending badge until they sign in for the first time with Continue with Intercom. No email is sent; tell them to sign in.
If someone signs in with Intercom without an invitation and sees This Intercom workspace is already connected to another account, the workspace exists in OmniSaaSy under someone else's account. An Owner needs to invite them.
Changing a role
Owners see a role dropdown next to each person on the Team tab. Pick the new role and it applies immediately. You cannot change your own role, so promote someone else to Owner before stepping down.
Removing someone
Choose the Remove user button next to their name and confirm. Their access ends immediately. You cannot remove yourself.
Owners and Intercom attribution
Some actions OmniSaaSy takes in Intercom have to be attributed to a named Intercom admin: applying conversation tags and posting notes. OmniSaaSy uses the longest-standing Owner who has signed in through Intercom. If no Owner has, conversations still arrive but untagged, and outcome notes are not posted. Any Owner signing in once with Continue with Intercom fixes it.
